Should circumcision be banned?

I had a joke that I thought Leonard Cohen’s record New Skin For the Old Ceremony was about ritual murder, but it’s actually about circumcision. Circumcision comes from Egypt and long predates any supposed sojourn of Hebrew slaves there.
