Drone shot of downtown La Paz. The water is extremely calm here, because we’re tucked into a double bay off the Sea of Cortez, or now Gulf of California, which is itself pretty calm. It’s a great place to bring kids because the water is so calm and the beaches slope so gently into the water, you can walk out really far in a lot of places. And it’s a good deal safer than most of Mexico. At any rate, I was going to say that the water is still at the same level, and it comes right up to the main road. More or less unchanged for 500 years.
