The Late Bronze Age Collapse stands between the reign of Akhenaten, the first monotheistic ruler, and the development of Judaism proper. Therefore it is perfectly reasonable, especially in light of the present occupants of this land, to ask whether they have a connection to this event so long ago. The mysterious “sea peoples” are usually blamed, but the timing is interesting.
