What happened to black music?

Well, pop music generally, but epecially the precipitous decline of black music seems like a form of cultural warfare. A lot of people don’t like jazz, it’s an acquired taste and some is too obscure for me, but you can’t deny their musicianship. These guys would cut records in a few takes, they were really exceptional musicians.
