Reincarnation in the New Testament?

This passage appears to take the reality of reincarnation for granted:

Now as Jesus passed by, he saw a man who was blind from birth. And his disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.” —John 9:1-3

In Luke, after the parable of the unjust steward, Jesus says “The children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of the light.” This could be interpreted to say that people who have incarnated more have more worldly wisdom than younger souls, but they become somewhat tarnished with age.
