The parallel between Socrates-Plato-Aristotle and John-Jesus-Paul

There’s an interesting parallel between the trio of Socrates/Plato/Aristotle and John the Baptist/Jesus/Saint Paul. Socrates and John were somewhat similar, kind of wild and rough around the edges, Plato is often called “the divine,” and both Aristotle and Paul are known for contentious disputations. Also, remember that Socrates was executed in 399 BC, so it fits my 400-year cycle idea.

This is Jacques Louis David’s The Death of Socrates. I saw this the first time I was in New York, on a substantial dose of LSD. An older friend from the Northeast had told me, “When you first go to New York, you have to take LSD.” So I did, and by the time we got to the Metropolitian Museum, I was sweating like crazy and high as a kite.
